Exterior Pavers Designs, Inc. works out of 542 El Camino Real Ste 110 in San Carlos, California. It is family owned and operated, and Todd Chandler runs it. Todd is an ICPI Certified Paver Installer, a Belgard Master Craftsman and an Allan Block Certified Installer, and he is the one who comes out to look at your project. What those certifications actually change
A certification is only worth something if it changes what happens on the job. ICPI certification means the base, the bedding layer, the edge restraint and the joint sand are built to a written specification rather than to whatever the crew is used to. Being an Allan Block Certified Installer means the same for segmental walls: compacted footing, drainage stone behind the block, and fabric so the fines do not wash into it.
Belgard Master Craftsman is the manufacturer side of it. We lay Belgard, Calstone and McNear, and we know how each of them behaves for pattern, for cutting and for color run across pallets. It shows up most in the details, like a herringbone field that still runs true at the far end of a driveway.
Pavers and natural stone. We do not pour concrete
We only work in interlocking pavers and natural stone. No concrete, no stamped concrete, no asphalt. That is a deliberate choice, not a gap. A paver deck around a pool stays cooler underfoot than a slab, it drains through the joints instead of sheeting toward the water, and if the ground ever moves the affected pavers can be lifted, the base fixed and the same units put straight back. Try that with a slab and you are looking at a saw and a color patch. Our pool deck work leans on that every time.

Every installation we do is built to ICPI specification and carries a 20 year warranty. Estimates are free, they are done on site, and you get one clear scope before anything starts. What we will and will not tell you
We will look at the job in person, walk the grades with you, and tell you where the water is going before we talk about color. We will tell you when a smaller scope does the job. What we will not do is quote a surface without seeing the ground it goes on, skip base depth to hit a number, or lay pavers over a problem and call it finished. Laying pavers is not complicated work.
